COMPETITIVE TEAM TRYOUTS 2010-2011

For the 2010-11 season Kerry Park Minor Hockey will have competitive teams in Atom, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget.  Once again this season, Kerry Park will have Cowichan Valley female Midget players, with a Female Midget Competitive team.

A tryout fee of $50 for each player is required prior to tryouts, and entitles each player to participate in three (3) ice sessions.  Tryout times are listed below.

Independent evaluators chosen by the KPMHA Head Coach will complete player evaluations.   (Independent means the evaluator will not be evaluating a group that includes their own child, and could include the team’s head coach, if a non-parent). There will be a minimum of 2 independent evaluators per division.  These evaluators are responsible to select the top 20 or so players in each division. The players selected to remain with the competitive teams after the first round of tryouts will continue to be evaluated over the next few sessions by the competitive head coach, who will be responsible for choosing the starting roster.

The head coach will do all notification of player assignments within the Competitive Division in a sensitive manner.

Competitive hockey requires a commitment, both time wise and financially. Players that make the rep team will be required to pay an additional fee on November 1, plus cover the costs of on-ice officials for games. The fee is $230 for Atom Development, $270 for PeeWee, $260 for Bantam and $245 for Midget.
