Manager Requirements

1. Criminal Record Check 

Access Code: 8PFQGYYUUF

Cost: free for volunteers

Re-certification: Prior to the beginning of each season

Method: On Line

Completed CRC's will be sent back to the KPMHA Registrar.
Must be completed before each season begins and volunteering. 

*The key is to start this process early, a CRC can take up to 2 weeks to receive back.

 

2.  Respect in Sport (Volunteer)

Cost: $35 
Recertification: 5 years
Method: E Learning
Completion Time: 3 Hours
Completion Date: Before Season starts and prior to volunteering

 

3. Manager Agreement (coming soon)

Cost: free
Method: Sent to your email through SignNow
Completion Date: Before Season starts and prior to volunteering

 

4. CATT (Concussion Awareness Training Tool)(Click on Coach button)

Cost: free
Recertification: Not required
Method: E Learning
Completion Time: 40 minutes

*Used for events such as dryland training, fundraisers, and other activities outside of regular hockey programming.

*Not all activities are eligible for coverage.


Requesting refs for your home game, Jamboree or Tournament

All team Managers must ensure to book referees for all home games  

This includes exhibition, tiering, placement, league and hosting tournaments.

Provide as much notice as possible for Jamboree and Tournaments.  League, tiering, placement and exhibition games requests should be sent out a week prior, cut off time is 48 hours prior.

  •  If you are waiting for a game number from your commissioner, let the RA know and supply it to them when you are issued one.
  • If your game is cancelled a minimum of 48 hours notice is required. If less than 48 hours, teams are responsible to cover the on ice officials costs.

 

Steps to take for booking Refs and dressing rooms

  1. Email KPMHA Referee Allocator Raina Bennefield at refs@islanderhockey.ca  and VP-admin@islanderhockey.ca and the Rink Manager of the arena. (Sheena at KP and Jamie at SLS)
  2. Use the following example of what should be in your email when requesting Refs
